MOG BATTLES, SPARE and MOG: what is at stake

Winning a MOG BATTLE gives a choice: SPARE lets the loser keep the run; MOG erases their progress and earns MogPoints. Consider the value of your own run before taking that risk.

Before you start

Review Face, Frame, Height and Bodyfat, and decide whether you are ready to risk the run you have built.

Check the whole run before challenging

Battles can involve NPCs or real players and compare the four core attributes. A high value in one attribute does not by itself establish the battle outcome.

  1. Review the four attributes instead of one headline value.
  2. Decide what you would lose if this run ended.
  3. Choose whether to battle now or return to collecting.

Understand the winner’s choice

SPARE and MOG are different consequences, not interchangeable reward buttons. SPARE preserves the loser’s run. MOG erases their progress and earns MogPoints for the winner.

If another player wins against you, do not build a progression plan around an expectation that they will spare the run.

  1. Read the choice before confirming it.
  2. Choose SPARE if the intended outcome is to let the other run continue.
  3. Choose MOG only with the progress-erasing consequence understood.

Separate MogPoints from your next purchase

MogPoints are part of the reward for choosing MOG. The game also includes abilities, rolls, Genetics and finishers, but the current in-game menu should determine the cost and requirements of any specific purchase.

Keep a target in mind before spending. Do not infer a price, roll chance or unlock requirement from the name of an ability.
